Nagpur: The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) is a mandatory test for any teacher wanting to teach in a CBSE affiliated school and for the 2013-14 academic session, will be held on November 18.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the conducting body, has issued guidelines for taking the test in an official statement published on the board’s web site. The teacher candidates “download their admit cards” and appear for the examination at the allotted centre.
According to the standard operating procedure, “In case of those candidates whose signature and/or photograph is missing in the online admit card, such candidates will be allowed to sit in the CTET-NOV 2012 examination only when they get the photograph and signature on the downloaded admit card duly attested by the SDM/Group A Gazetted officer/Head of the Institution last attended and will submit it at the centre. Candidates without photograph and signature on the admit card will not be permitted to appear.”
Also, the attested cards will have to be submitted to the boards through the invigilator/centre superintendents, while candidates can keep a photocopy of the same for their record and future reference.
